A rosary will be said for MaryAnn Staniszewski, 72, a Carson City resident, at 7 p.m. today at Autumn Funerals and Cremations, 1575 N. Lompa Lane. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Staniszewski died Dec. 9, 2006, at her home. She was born April 11, 1934, in Joliet, Ill., to Henry and Josephine Paone Garavalia.

She married Leonard Staniszewski on April 24, 1954, in Joliet.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Staniszewski lived in Southern California.

She worked as a property manager in Southern California, and later as a change clerk at the Carson City Nugget for four years.

She enjoyed playing blackjack and watching the Los Angeles Lakers play on television.

Among her survivors are her companion James Hesla of Carson City; daughters Kim Staniszewski and Michelle Gardner of Van Nuys, Calif., and Gail Smith of Hainesport, N.J.; sisters Norma Airola, Janet Hintz and Theresa Sally, all of Joliet; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Autumn Funerals and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
