A memorial service for Richard "Dick" Dewayne Karjola, 69, a Longview, Wash., resident will be 2 p.m. today at the Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.

Mr. Karjola died Dec. 8, 2006. He was born March 9, 1937, in Longview to Richard C. and Helen H. Byers Karjola. He was raised in Longview.

He also lived in Minden and Las Vegas, where he worked for 32 years as a 21 dealer at Del Webb Casinos at Lake Tahoe and in Las Vegas.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Among his survivors are his children Michelle Karjola, Jim Karjola, Amber Verchick and David Karjola; brother, Gary Karjola; and five grandchildren.

Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
