Joyce Arlene Dezzutti, 71, a seven-year Carson City resident, died Dec. 10, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Dezzutti was born Nov. 18, 1935, in Denver to Arthur Blush and Marguerite Hogbin.

Before moving to Carson City, Ms. Dezzutti lived in Alameda, Calif.

She was a high school graduate.

She was a waitress and had also worked for the Nevada Department of Corrections before her retirement.

She enjoyed playing darts and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Edward Oeck, on July 2, 2004, in Carson City.

Among her survivors are daughter Patricia Favier and fiance, Chris Leonard, both of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Gina and Kevin Beville of Hayward, Calif.; son Mike Chapman of North Highlands, Calif.; stepfather Warren Shephard of Denver; sister Nancy Mathre; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nephews and a niece.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.

Memorial donations may be made to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. At her request, no services will be held.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
