Freida M. Powers, 93, a Carson City resident since 1999, died Jan. 23, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 12, 1912, in Drexel, Mo., to Miles L. Rapalee and Luvinnie J. Hull.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Bethel Island, Calif.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting, fishing and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie, three brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Patricia Powers of Winnemucca and Jesse W. and Nadine Powers of Santa Clara, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Arlene and Anthony Scalia of Carson City; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
At her request, no services will be held.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
