Marion F. Smith

A funeral for Marion F. Smith, 83, a 33-year Carson City resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church.

Mrs. Smith died Dec. 19, 2006, in Reno. She was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Doniphan, Neb.

She was the personal secretary for the director of the Nevada State Department of Taxation for 20 years.

She was an artist and enjoyed reading and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel S. Smith; two brothers and a sister.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Christine Smith of Carson City; grandchildren Blanche and Daniel Smith; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
