The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 21-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 8:13 a.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000 cash.


• A 22-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested at 2:51 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal contempt. Bail was set at $350 cash.


• Gary Spangler, 47, a transient, was arrested at 3:18 a.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Brown Street on suspicion of felony failure to register as a sex offender, gross misdemeanor possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor possession of stolen property. Spangler was found to be living in an address he was not registered at and was allegedly in possession of homemade lock picks and a stolen credit card. Bail was set at $13,632.


• Patrick Falvey, 28, of Carson City, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East William Street on suspicion of felony probation violation and misdemeanor domestic battery. No bail was set.


• A 40-year-old transient was arrested at 9:03 p.m. Friday at Fall and Adams streets on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000 cash.


• A 42-year-old floor-covering worker from Carson City was arrested at 6:43 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Christina Circle on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 26-year-old service technician from Carson City was arrested at 9:04 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of East Fifth Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, no proof of insurance and driving with suspended registration. Bail was set at $1,971.


• A 21-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Friday at North Carson and Highway 50 East on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $500 cash.


• A 29-year-old transient was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor ex-felon failure to change address and possession of a hypodermic needle. Bail was set at $1,369.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:


• A motor vehicle accident involving property damage on North Center Street in Fernley at 6:40 p.m. Friday.


• A report of a shoplifter in the 2200 block of Highway 50 East in Dayton at 6:42 p.m. Friday.


• A domestic dispute involving a gun in the 5100 block of Miwok Drive in Stagecoach at 7:58 p.m. Friday.


• A report of a prowler in the 300 block of Ray Way in Yerington at 9:45 p.m. Friday.


• A report of sexual offenses in the 1200 block of Shadow Lane in Fernley at 5:12 p.m. Friday.


• A report of a battery in the 100 block of Kit Kat Drive in Mound House at 6:27 a.m. Friday.




Storey County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:


• A traffic stop in the 200 block of Willie Way in Dayton at 8:11 a.m. Friday. The driver was issued a warning for speed.


• A report of a juvenile throwing lit cigarettes into the book return at Virginia City High School at 3:30 p.m. Friday.


• A report of shots fired from a high-powered weapon near Virginia City High School at 12:26 a.m. Friday.
