A celebration of life for Patrick Charles Samal, 41, a five-year Gardnerville resident, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Samal died Feb. 7, 2006, near Genoa.
He was born March 17, 1964, in San Francisco to Charles K. Samal and Irene Paukstys.
Before moving to Northern Nevada eight years ago, he lived in San Mateo, Calif., for 30 years.
He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Cal Poly in Pamona, Calif.
He was baptized Catholic and was the president of A-1 Industries in Redwood City, Calif.
He enjoyed flying planes and helicopters, the outdoors, the Pacific Ocean, and the Sierra Nevada.
He is survived by his parents of Carson City.
Cremation took place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
