A funeral service for Alicia Jimenez, 90, a four-year resident of Gardnerville, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gall Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Monday followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Jimenez died Feb. 7, 2006, at home. She was born July 19, 1915, in El Paso, Texas, to Juan B. Calderon and Tomasa Enriquez.

She married Eugene Jimenez on July 3, 1938, in Hollywood, Calif.

She was a high school graduate and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 14, 1971, in Los Angeles; daughter Lili Lopez, March 29, 1998; brother Johnny Calderon on May 28, 1975.

Among her survivors are her daughter Almita of Gardnerville; son Frank of Sylmar, Calif.; stepchildren Gene of New York and Millie of Altadena, Calif., 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.

Burial will be at the Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
