A celebration of life for Dennis Hoyt Carter, 39, a 15-year resident of Carson City, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Plaza Hotel's Sierra Room in Carson City.

Mr. Carter died Feb. 13, 2006, in Carson City. He was born July 8, 1966, at Edward's Air Force Base, Calif., to Dennis H. Carter and Linda Hunt.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Boron, Calif. He graduated from Boron High School.

He worked for Click Bond as a quality-assurance inspector. He enjoyed animals, especially cats.

Among his survivors are his father and stepmother Dennis and Rosetta Carter of Boron, Calif.; mother, Linda Hunt, of Dodge City, Kan.; brother and sister-in-law Jon and Gayla Carter of Carson City; and several aunts and uncles.

Burial will take place in Lancaster, Calif.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
