A funeral service for Joelle "Judy" Ecklund, 71, a 37-year resident of Carson City, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Walton's.
Mrs. Ecklund died Feb. 25, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Vernal, Utah, to Lorenzo Snow Hall and Elree Rasmussen.
She married Marvin Ecklund Nov. 20, 1954.
She graduated from Unital County High School in Utah.
She was an assembler at Bently Nevada in Gardnerville, and retired after 30 years.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Robin of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Marva Jo Ecklund-Gordon and Bob Gordon of Carson City; brother Gene R. Hall of Vernal; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burial will take place at the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada Lung Association.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
