The Carson Senator Blue and White junior varsity inline hockey teams went 1-2 in this past weekend's Northern Nevada league tournament at the Pony Express Pavilion.
Carson Blue went unbeaten, defeating Carson White 5-3 in the championship game. Tyler Jost, Taylor Phillips, Jeremy Comba, Luke Echeverria and Justin Marsola all scored for the Blue. Keaton Massey and Marsola each had an assist.
Richie Copeland scored twice and Tim Jost and a goal and an assist for the White. The Blue advanced to the finals by beating Fallon 8-0, Carson's White 5-3 and Elko 2-1.
Carson White got to the finals the hard way after losing its first game to Carson Blue. The White then beat Douglas 8-0, Fallon 9-4 and Elko 5-3 to reach the championship round. Elko finished third in the event.
