A memorial service for Lynn G. Breton, 83, of Minden, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at FitzHenry's Mortuary, 1380 Highway 395, in Gardnerville.

Mr. Breton died Nov. 18, 2005. He was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Corning, Calif., to Melba and Vivian Breton.

He was an industrial engineer, factory manager, dog kennel owner and operator and dog trainer.

He served in U.S. military during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the VFW 75th Infantry Division.

He was a 25-year member of the Carson Valley Masonic Lodge No. 33 and a longtime member of the Carson Valley Golf Course.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.

Among his survivors are his wife, Denise; son Jim of San Ramon, Calif.; daughters Jackie Franklin of Milpitas, Calif., Judy Breton of Sacramento, Joan Sullivan of San Francisco, and Joyce Breton of Danville, Calif.; sister-in-law Darcel Vieira; brother-in-law David Vieira; nephews Michael Breton, Robert Breton, Derek Vieira; niece Dedra Kuduk; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A private internment will be held at Cypress Lawn at Colma, Calif.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
