Carson wrestlers roll past South Tahoe

Lionel Austin (103), Aaron Jolcover (140), Garrett Truesdale (215) and Zach Taylor (heavyweight) all won by forfeit for Carson. One of Carson's two losses was a close 7-6 loss sustained by Martin Azzam at 152.

"The kids looked solid," Carson coach Casey Schweitzer said. "The kids did a good job of staying focused and taking care of business.

"Overall I'm very happy where we are at physically and mentally right now. We're focusing on wrestling to our level. That's something that will help us get over the hump at the zone tournament I believe."

In other junior varsity matches on Tuesday, Stephen Riemer won by pin at 171 against Wooster and Max Schadack won by pin at heavyweight against Hug.

Carson (14-2, 5-1 in the Sierra League) will next compete at the Clayton Valley Invitational in Concord, Calif., on Saturday. The Senator JVs will wrestle at the Sparks Varsity Invitational.
