Kathleen Rita French-Roberts Livingston, 86, a four-year resident of Carson City, died Dec. 17, 2005 at home. She was born Jan 14, 1919, in Denver to Thomas A. French and Catherine Gavaghan.

She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with honors. She lived in Alameda for 50 years before moving to Carson City.

She worked as an office manager, and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Livingston and brother, Thomas S. Roberts.

Among her survivors are her son, Paul Michael Livingston, of Accokeek, Md.; daughter, Kathleen Mary Sciascia of Carson City; grandchildren Catherine A. Ortiz, Joseph A. Sciascia, and Thomas S. Livingston; great-grandchildren Emily K. Ortiz, Andrew D. Ortiz, Oreo Ortiz; nieces Joanne Roberts and Casey Stirtz; and nephew, Eddie Roberts.

A private memorial was held Dec. 18.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross of Alameda.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
