A celebration of life for Dean Phillip Forbord, 76, a 16-year resident of Carson City will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, 1380 E. Fifth St.

Mr. Forbord died Jan. 17, 2006, at his home. He was born July 26, 1929, in Wells, Minn., to Phillip M. And Mildred Frasher Forbord.

He graduated from Canoga Park High School in California. He attended Chabot College, Hayward, Calif.

He married Jean Forbord in Las Vegas.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Livermore, Calif.

Mr. Forbord retired from the U. S. Air Force after serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks Lodge and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Julie and Rick Gutierrez of Carson City; daughter Kerry Dean Forbord of Alameda, Calif.; sister Norma Ratliff of Newcastle, Calif.; granddaughter Elysa Gutierrez and niece Linda Wight.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
