The Carson National 9-10 all-stars lost 17-5 to Reno National on Wednesday in its final game of pool play in the District I Tournament at Washoe Fields.
Both teams entered the game 3-0 and had already clinched a berth in Friday's single elimination quarterfinals. Carson National used four pitchers that haven't seen much action to save much of its pitching for the playoffs.
T.J. Thompsen and Jacob Roll each had a hit, one run and two RBI and Nate Cotroneo had a hit and a run for Carson National, which will play at 5:30 p.m. Friday against an opponent still to be determined.
