A graveside service for Leamon J. Madden, 71, a two-year Stagecoach resident, will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Tracy Cemetery in Tracy, Calif.

Mr. Madden died July 20, 2006, in Stagecoach. He was born July 15, 1935, in Fillmore, Okla., to Otis J. and Lucille Madden.

He married Sue Ann Palady Jan. 18, 1958, in Clovis, N.M.

Before moving to Stagecoach, Mr. Madden lived in Tracy.

He worked at Owen's Illinois Glass Container Co. in Tracy for 28 years, retiring in 1987.

Mr. Madden served in the U.S. Air Force until his discharge in 1962.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tracy and the Good Sam's RV Club. He enjoyed RVing, fishing, water skiing, and spending time with his children.

Among his survivors are his mother of Lodi, Calif.; his wife of Stagecoach; son David E. Madden of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law John W. and Paula Madden of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Steven Vander Werff of Melba, Idaho; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
