When faced with a 30-day notice to move out from Decades Bar, Mustang Sallie didn't waste a moment to find another location for "Mustang Sallie's Deuces Grill."

"Jennifer Fox told me she had sold the business (Decades Bar), and I was given 30 days' notice," said Randy Wright, aka Mustang Sallie. "I had to find a new place or just not reopen at all. That was not an option."

Wright gives credit to a Miller Beer distribution driver for telling her the grill at the Old Globe had closed several weeks ago and was available. Wright met with Old Globe owner Hector Bucchianeri.

"We shook hands and that was that," Wright said."

"It's not just anybody who can close a business and in five days open another. I was able to do this because someone gave me 60 seconds of their time."

Wright opened Friday.

She has the same menu as before and offers take-out or dine-in meals.

"She has good food, we're pretty excited to have her here," Bucchianeri said. "I think it's a pretty good match."

Bucchianeri's grandfather opened the Old Globe in 1951, and moved it to its present location, 407 N. Curry St., in 1971. Hector has run the business the past 13 years.

"I'm happy to be where we are now," Wright added. "It seems to be less stressful here."
