Jeet K. Thind

A funeral service for Jeet K. Thind, 60, a Carson City resident since 2001, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Thind died June 10, 2006, at her home. She was born March 10, 1946, in India, to Hazara S. Handa and Kartar K. Arman.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Thind lived in Roseville, Calif., for many years.

She was a homemaker.

She belonged to the Sikh Temple and was active in the Sikh community.

Among her survivors are her parents, of Roseville; husband, Darshan S. Thind, of Carson City; five sons, two daughters, three sisters, four brothers, 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Carson City Sikh Temple, 2589 Watercrest Drive, Carson City, NV, 89702.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
