HIV tests, hepatitis vaccinations today

In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, the Nevada State Health Division's HIV Prevention Program and Hepatitis Prevention Program, in partnership with the Northern Nevada HIV Outpatient Program Education and Services will provide HIV tests and hepatitis vaccinations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Nevada State Health Division, 505 E. Discovery walks begin today at May Museum in Reno

Children can be introduced to the world of nature by taking part in the Family Nature Discovery Walks offered at the Wilbur D. May Museum from 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Fridays starting today.

The walks explore parts of Rancho San Rafael Regional Park where children can see animal habitats, pond life, plants and geological landscapes. Costs are $5 per person.

Foster homes are urgently needed for more than three dozen cats rescued from a home in the Topaz Ranch Estates.
