Hal Draper, 84, an area resident for the past three years, died March 22, 2006.
Mr. Draper was born July 24, 1921, in Berkeley, Calif., to Hal Draper Sr. and Madeline Shaw.
He married Mary Draper on Sept. 27, 1997, in Nevada City, Calif. Prior to living in Northern Nevada, he lived in Sacramento, where he was a teacher.
Mr. Draper served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a Mason.
Among his survivors are his wife; daughters Sally Snyder and Susan Draper, both of Sacramento; sister Mary Lou Axtel; brother Roy Draper, one grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was under the direction of Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
