Roger 'Woody' Woodcock

Roger "Woody" Woodcock, 89, a Carson City resident since 1986, died May 9, 2006, in Carson City.

Mr. Woodcock was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Stoneham, Mass., to Burgess N. Woodcock and Edna May.

He married Iola N. Woodcock in 1997, in Reno.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Minden.

He retired from Ingersoll-Rand after more than 30 years in 1981.

Mr. Woodcock served in the U.S. Army. He belonged to men's golf clubs and shot six holes in one during his lifetime.

He is survived by his stepson Craig and his family.
