A memorial service for John Michael Montgomery, 47, a four-year Carson City resident, will be 10 a.m. Sunday at the Father's Heart Church, 480 Clear Creek Road.
Mr. Montgomery died Oct. 4, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Sept. 23, 1959, in Lubbock, Texas to John B. and Patricia Worley Montgomery.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Montgomery lived in Incline Village.
He was a computer programmer.
He enjoyed cooking, kayaking, music, playing guitar and riding motorcycles. He belonged to the Father's Heart Church.
Among his survivors are his parents; son Dustin Montgomery of Incline Village; daughters Tiffany Geris of New York and Amanda Yeadon of Seattle; sister Laurie Montgomery; brothers Bill and Scott Montgomery and one grandchild.
A private burial service will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Father's Heart Africa Orphans, 480 Clear Creek Road, Carson City, NV 89701, or to a diabetes association.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
