Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash fame, will be offering a half-hour concert for U.S. Senate Democratic nominee Jack Carter at 1:30 p.m. at Comma Coffee today. Carter will walk the parade route as well as attend Stills' concert. The local band Moonlight Express will also perform.

Nevada Day Old West Costume Party, 7-11 p.m., at Nevada's Oldest Thirst Parlor, the Genoa Bar. There will be a barbecue from 2-6 p.m. and live music featuring String Machine.

Sunday

Nevada Day Weekend Concert, 1:30-2:30 p.m., Nevada State Railroad Museum, 2180 S. Carson St. The Capital City Community Band presents a free concert. Admission is free. Call 883-2219.

Nevada Day Steam Up, a steam locomotive will run at the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The train ride costs $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children over 6.
