Douglas tennis beats North Valleys

DOUGLAS BOYS 12 NORTH VALLEYS 6

Robert Shawhan continued his strong play for Douglas, sweeping his singles matches 6-3, 6-0, 6-1. Also in singles, Matthew McLaughlin won 6-0.

The Tigers won 8-of-9 doubles matches. Trevor Mitchell and Josh Vega swept 6-1, 6-0, 6-1, Spike Neri and Andrew Soloman swept 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 and John McLaughlin and Kevin Sacherman won 6-1, 7-6 (7-5). Douglas nearly swept the doubles, but McLaughlin and Sacherman lost their other match 6-7 (6-8).
