Judy E. Baldwin, 64, a 2-year Silver Springs resident, died Sept. 19, 2006 at her home.

Ms. Baldwin was born April 16, 1942 in Muskogee, Okla. to Vander Orville Baldwin and Myrtle M. Jones.

Before moving to Silver Springs, Ms. Baldwin lived in Stagecoach.

She was a horse trainer and worked in maintenance for Lyon County. She was the owner and operator of the Spit Fire Grill in Stagecoach.

She enjoyed horses, horse breeding, and horse training.

She belonged to the Quarter/Paint Horse Association and was a Southern Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by twin sister Jane Goviea; by sisters Betty Layer and Carolyn York and by brother Larry Baldwin.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Patricia Wheat of Columbia, S.C. and Gerald and Deb Idland of Avon, Minn.; daughter Terri Thompson of Silver Springs; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
