Fire, sheriff's officer get in minor accident on way to other accident

Officers from the sheriff's and fire departments were involved in a minor accident near the corner of Fifth and Stewart streets around 4 p.m. Wednesday on their way to an accident on Deer Run Road.

Fire Department Battalion Chief Vince Pirozzi and Sgt. Earl Mays were taken to the hospital as a precaution, said Fire Chief Stacey Giomi, and may have received minor injuries.

Nevada Highway Patrol is reviewing the accident to see who is at fault.
