The Nevada Department of Transportation has at 6:13 a.m. listed the following road restrictions:
US Highway 50: Snow tires or chains required from Pollock Pines and Riverton, Calif. " Snow tires or chains required for 15.1 miles between 10.6 miles east of Kyburz and Junction of California State Route 89.
Interstate 80: Chains mandatory for 45.2 miles between Baxter, Calif. Exit 148B and .9 miles west of Junction Hirschdale Road Exit 194.
State Route 89: Chains or snow tires required for 23.4 miles between 2.8 miles north of Junction US 50 and Junction California State Route 28 at Tahoe City. " Snow tires or chains required for 13.3 miles between 5 miles north of Junction State Route 28 at Tahoe City and 4.9 miles north of Truckee.
State Route 431: Snow tires or chains required for 14.2 miles between SR 28 and 10.3 miles south of Junction US 395.
Today's weather will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of morning precipitation and south winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Tonight, cloudy with a slight chance of rain and snow after midnight.
