Anonymous donor provides 158 turkeys; available until 3 p.m.

A gift of 158 turkeys was made from an anonymous donor to Community Chest Inc. in Storey County, and many free turkeys are still available.

Community Chest thrift store manager Pam Trabert said they didn't publicize the turkeys because they didn't know until late Friday that they would get them.

She said she will be at the community center until 5 p.m. Sunday to hand out food and the turkeys will be at the ice house until 3 p.m. Sunday.

After that, residents can get turkeys by calling Trabert's cell phone at 720-271-6479.
