Edward "Ed" Michael Kauf Jr.

Edward "Ed" Michael Kauf Jr., 67, was born Sept. 21, 1940, and passed away Dec. 23, 2007, at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Born to Edward Michael Kauf, Sr. and Dorothy Theresa in Buffalo, New York. Ed married his junior high school sweetheart, Ann Marie Rawson, on September 30, 1961, in Cheektowaga, New York. Shortly after marrying, the newlyweds relocated to Southern California where they remained for 41 years. Ed worked for United Parcel Service (UPS) for 38 years retiring in 2002. Later that year Ed and Ann moved to Dayton, Nevada.

Ed's favorite pastimes included Nascar races, Monster Trucks, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Ann; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Allison Kauf; daughter Laura Kauf; and daughter Jennifer Overlock as well as grandchildren Brittani Kauf; Ashle Overlock; and Stevie Overlock. Ed will also be missed by a large circle of extended family members and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; mother Dorothy; and brother Robert.

Ed will be remembered during a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at St. Paul's Lutheran Family, 1201 N. Saliman Road, Carson City, NV 89701. Pastor Stan Pesis will officiate. A reception will follow the service in St. Paul's Lutheran Family Friendship Hall.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Ed Kauf Memorial Fund c/o St. Paul's Lutheran Family.
