Marjorie Hadley Meyer, 87, a Carson City resident, died Dec. 28, 2006, in Carson City.
Mrs. Meyer was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Wichita, Kan., to Harold Oliver Hadley and Elsie Faye.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Kansas, and California.
She worked for the Pasadena, Calif., school district and then with J.C. Penny for 40 years.
She spent 20 years at the Pasadena store before coming out of retirement to manage the Carson City store.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Myron "Doc" Meyer; a brother and two sisters.
Among her survivors are her sons Arthur Glenn Bowen and Harold Bruce Bowen; daughters Marcia Rowlings and Jean Hill; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
