Gibbons reappoints director of Employment, Training and Rehab

(Staff report) - Gov. Jim Gibbons reappointed Terry Johnson Monday as director of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.

Johnson has been in the position for more than a year, overseeing a department of 750 employees and a budget of $150 million.

Johnson worked in management in the private sector before joining the state in 1996 as assistant business advocate in the Department of Business and Industry. He has also served as state labor commissioner and deputy director of DETR, before being named director in 2005.
