What's closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

All area public schools will be closed today, and will reopen Tuesday.

All Western Nevada Community College campuses and learning centers will be closed Monday. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 22.

All U.S. post offices will be closed. Mail service resumes Tuesday.

The Federal Reserve is closed, and most banks will be as well. Check your local branch for hours.

The Nevada Appeal office is open.

CARSON CITY

The Nevada State Museum and the Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open normal hours Monday.

Jump Around Carson will be operating on a normal Monday schedule.

The Carson City Marriage Bureau will be open normal hours. But, there will be no judge.

The Carson City Public Library will be closed. It will reopen Tuesday.

DOUGLAS COUNTY

All Douglas County Public Libraries will be closed. They will reopen Tuesday.

County offices will be closed. The Marriage Bureau at Lake Tahoe will be open 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and the Valley Bureau will be on call 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

DART will not be running.

LYON COUNTY

All Lyon County public libraries and county offices will be closed. They will reopen Tuesday.

RENO

RTC Washoe County offices will be closed. RTC RIDE, RTC INTERCITY and Sierra Spirit will be operating on a normal Monday schedule.
