A graveside service for Mary A. White, 99, an 18-month resident of Gardnerville, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, Calif.

Mrs. White died Jan. 19, 2007, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1908, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Manuel and Carmen Verdugo.

She lived in Alhambra, Calif. from the 1940s until July of 2005, when she moved to Gardnerville.

She worked as seamstress until her retirement.

She enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening and entertaining guests.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve White; sisters and brothers.

Among her survivors are her son, Ernest Verdugo of Carson City; sister Rosie Cobos of San Gabriel, Calif.; granddaughter, Kathy Paresa of Gardnerville; and several extended-family members.

Autumn Funerals and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
