Papa Murphy's on South Carson Street is now open despite a wreck Thursday that involved a car running through the front of the store.

Donn Leyba, area director of the chain, said the wreck caused between $25,000 and $30,000 in damage.

The store reopened Sunday and now has a big sign in front to let customers know it's open.

Customers were kept happy while they were closed with $2-off coupons to the pizzeria's other stores on Highway 50 and in Gardnerville.

Leyba said the 23-year-old woman police say was responsible for that wreck and hitting another vehicle that night was fired about a month ago because she was drinking on the job. Insurance should cover most of the damages, he said.
