A celebration of life for Patricia Susan McMaster, 65, a 30-year Carson City resident, will be noon Wednesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at FitzHenry's.
Mrs. McMaster died March 23, 2007, at her home. She was born Feb. 14, 1942, in Nauvoo, Ohio, to Carl Everett Emmons and Clara Edith White.
She married Gregory B. McMaster on Dec. 10, 1979, in Carson City.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Redwood City, Calif.
She graduated from Roseville High School in Roseville, Calif., and trained as a nurse in the U.S. Army.
She served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1977, during which time she helped with the refugee "Baby Drop" at the Presidio in San Francisco, Calif.
She was a nurse and served as coroner for the Carson City Sheriff's Department.
Mrs. McMaster was a Southern Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jerry and Carl Emmons; sisters Rose Sharples and Billy Sue Emmons; and an infant grandson.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law Dale O. Head Jr. and Winnie Ward of Grass Valley, Calif.; son David McMaster of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Donna S. and Michael D. Gray of Carson City; daughter Deborah J. Wells of Carson City; sisters Colleen Stevens of Roseville and Wanda Green of Sacramento; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial with military honors will be at the Lone Mountain Cemetery.
