The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services has launched a new Web site designed to be user-friendly, at http://dhhs.nv.gov. The Web site allows visitors to log in and navigate to any of the divisions within the agency.




Photographer sought for Nevada Day


The Nevada Day Parade Board of Directors is looking for an "official" photographer. This position is part-time, volunteer and nonpaid. It is an opportunity to gain experience. FISH needs volunteers


FISH needs volunteers to help pack food baskets for needy families. They also need referral specialists, who are trained in all of the services available to needy persons. Also needed are those willing to cook for the free family dining room, volunteer medical professionals, or thrift store volunteers. FISH provides insurance for those who are on-site. Pink Tea reservations due May 16


The members of the Nevada Women's History Project and first lady Dawn Gibbons are hosting Pink Tea from 2-4 p.m. May 19 at the Governor's Mansion, 600 N. Mountain St. The annual tea honors those women who worked to gain the right to vote for women in the United States. Cost is $25 and reservations must be made in advance. Open auditions for melodrama Thursday


The Misfits Theater Group will be holding open auditions for its upcoming melodrama "Klondike Gold, or Shenanigans in the Far North," at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dayton Round Table Pizza, 9 Retail Road, off of Highway 50 East.
