A memorial service for Lloyd Ray Watley Jr., 60, a 30-year resident of Carson City, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Grace Community Church in Minden. Mr. Watley died May 14, 2007.
Mr. Watley was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Swanee, Tenn., to Lloyd Ray Watley Sr. and Gladys McDowell.
He married Diane on May 12, 1972, in El Sobrante, Calif.
He attended Contra Costa College in San Pablo, Calif., and lived in El Sobrante before moving to Carson City.
Mr. Watley worked in computer network systems management and was a member of Grace Community Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Watley was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife; daughter Gaytha Watley and son-in-law Jeremy Adkins, of Oakland, Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Barbara Watley of Pinole, Calif., Brian and Beth Watley of Sacramento, and Daniel and Eileen Watley of Milpitas, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Julia Watley and John Richardson of El Sobrante; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests donations in Mr. Watley's memory be sent to the American Liver Foundation.
