Lecture series - Historic transportation in Dayton Valley, 7- 8:30 p.m., Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road. As part of Archaeological Awareness and Historic Preservation Month, the Historical Society of Dayton Valley and the Friends of the Dayton Valley Library are co-sponsoring a historic lecture series on Thursday evenings in May. The theme is "Travel through Time," and the lectures will describe the rich transportation history of the Dayton area. The story of "The Emigrant Trail" will be presented by Phillip Earl, retired Curator of History at the Nevada Historical Society and popular author, lecturer, teacher, and consultant.
