Two Carson City men are being sought by area law enforcement agencies in separate criminal cases.

The Nevada Division of Parole and Probation is looking for Cesar "Thumper" Munoz, 30, for felony probation violation.

Munoz's, a self-proclaimed member of Lima Street gang, has a criminal history that includes contributing to the delinquency of a minor, battery, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

He is on probation for a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card.

He gained notoriety in January when drug officers allegedly recovered bright pink methamphetamine from him called "strawberry quick." Suggestions that the methamphetamine was scented and flavored were never confirmed, but Munoz was charged with possession. He was scheduled to go trial on that charge in April. It was continued and no new date has been set.

According to the Division of Parole and Probation, Munoz last checked in with his probation officer on Aug. 31, and his last known address was on Meadow Brook Drive.

Munoz is 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos on his arms, legs and back.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Nevada Division of Parole and Probation Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 684-2644.

The Carson City Sheriff's Department is looking for Michele F. Caretto, 25, in connection with a series of bad checks that have been passed at a number of local businesses, said Detective Bob Motamenpour.

Motamenpour said Caretto has passed counterfeit payroll checks from Baker Drywall, Capital Drywall, Diamond Moters & Pawn Inc. (with the word "motors" misspelled) and B & C Cabinet & Millwork.

He is described as a white male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and black eyes.

His last known address was 6369 Highway 50 East.

Motamenpour said even if no one calls with Caretto's whereabouts, businesses should know to watch out for him.

"He's been cashing these checks everywhere," the detective said. "At the very least we want to alert the citizens."

Anyone with information should call Motamenpour at 887-2020, ext. 1408.
