Carson City School District Trustee Joe Enge has filed a complaint with the Nevada Attorney General's Office alleging that the Carson City School District violated the state's open meeting law during its Aug. 28 meeting.

In his complaint, Enge said "These misleading minutes when read by the public do not reflect the true discussion of the meeting and requires a visit to the district office to get any sense of what was discussed. Hiding comments from a board member and the public made at a board meeting in the bowels of the district office violates the open meeting law."

Enge's complaint was filed with the attorney general's office Aug. 30. Carole Brackley, open meeting law coordinator, on Sept. 4, has asked Carson board president John McKenna that copies of the audio and/or video recordings, minutes and agenda be sent to the office by Sept. 17.
