A celebration of life for Sandra J. Beyer, 60, a 17-year resident of Carson City, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Beyer died Sept. 6, 2007, in Carson City. She was born May 25, 1947, to Angie and Francis Silva in Redding, Calif. Prior to moving to Carson City she lived in Monterey, Calif. She married Bill Beyer on Feb. 5, 1976, in Carson City.

She was a graduate of Shasta High School and Shasta College in Redding. She took several professional classes at the University of Nevada, Reno. She was a human resource and payroll specialist at Greatbatch Technology in Carson City. She was active with the Carson Tahoe Cancer Research Center and a member of the Nevada State Notaries Association. She enjoyed reading and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ken, all of Redding.

Among her survivors are her husband of 31 years; son Jim Day of Kelseyville, Calif., sons and daughters-in-law Paul and Amber Beyer of Willows, Calif., Clint and Sonia Day of Carson City; sister Linda Carpenter of Redding; two grandchildren and several cousins from Redding.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Beyer's name to Carson Tahoe Cancer Resource Center, P.O. Box 2168, Carson City, NV 89702.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
