Douglas volleyball rolls past Whittell

The Douglas High volleyball team rolled to a 25-18, 25-22, 25-15 win over Whittell on Wednesday at home.

Jessica Waggoner had a huge game with 15 blocks and added seven kills, two aces, two points and three digs for Douglas (20-3). Also for the Tigers, Jourdan Burke had seven kills, three blocks, nine digs, six points and two aces, Taryn Williams had seven kills, two blocks and threepoints, Bridget Maestretti had four kills, five blocks, two digs and six points, Megan Mitchell had four kills, five blocks, one ace, two points and 21 assists, Alyssa Todd had four blocks, Melissa Brown had three blocks, Christine DuPuis had two kills, one block and two points, Allie Hughes had one kill, two blocks, one point and 10 assists, Mysta Townsell served for five points and Mary Lombino had seven digs and two points.

Douglas won the junior varsity match 2-0 and the freshmen match 2-0.
