Shaheen Beauchamp Builders announced it finished a new medical office building for the Carson Surgical Group. The Carson Surgical Group has relocated their practice to the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Campus in north Carson City.


Shaheen Beauchamp Builders specializes in medical facilities and has built more than 75,000-square feet of medical space on, and adjacent to, the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Campus.


The Architect on the project was J. P. Copolous, Carson City.

Sierra Place Retirement and Assisted Living Community, 1111 W. College Parkway, announced that it received the 2007 Gold Level of Achievement Award for The Highest Resident Satisfaction from its parent company, Kisco Senior Living.


Each year, Kisco Senior Living surveys each of the residents living in its 24 facilities across the country. The survey measures resident satisfaction in nine key areas, including assisted living services, dining services, housekeeping and maintenance, programs and activities, sales and marketing and management services.


Sierra Place earned an overall satisfaction score of 99 percent from its residents, the highest score in the Kisco Senior Living portfolio.

A Carson City Chamber of Commerce committee has nominated Lisa Stirgus of Wells Fargo Bank and Peter Kostes of the Nevada Appeal for two open positions on the board.


Sarah Hill of Wells Fargo Bank and William Miles of Miles Construction are retiring from the board at the end of the fiscal year.

Carson City sales consultant Rhonda Price announced the company she represents, St. Cloud, Minn.-based Creative Memories, donated $10,000 worth of scrapbooking and memory-celebration products to the subject of an "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" guest in Wilmington, Del.

Lance Gilman of L Lance Gilman Real Estate Services, the exclusive broker for the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, said an additional two miles of track is being added to the center's internal railroad system to serve new companies.


When the latest rail project is completed there will be more than 10 miles of track in the center.


A federal license has been granted that will allow TRI to operate its own railroad within the massive development.


Developers have dubbed the new railroad the Tahoe Reno Railroad and are working to hire a company that can bring in engines and personnel to operate the rail line. This will let current tenants that have rail service with Union Pacific to switch to the new Tahoe Reno Railroad.


The tracks at TRI are all on the west side of the four-lane USA Parkway and there are no plans right now to bring the rail line across the expressway. The rail line will continue to be extended as the project grows.


When it is finished, the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center will be the largest industrial complex in the world.
