Reno officer bitten by dog

RENO " A Reno police officer was attacked by a dog and confronted by an armed suspect wanted in California for allegedly making threats to an electronics firm.

Mark William Miller, 46, was arrested Tuesday night after a brief stand-off at residence on Whitaker Way, police said.

He was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer and obstructing and resisting.

The officer didn't require medical treatment for the dog bite.

The officer went to the home after Reno police were contacted by authorities in Clovis, Calif., who were seeking Miller on suspicion of making telephone threats against an electronics firm there, police said.
