Donald Eisele

Donald Eisele, 74, a 22-year resident of Gardnerville, died April 16, 2008 at his home.

Don was preceded in death by his son Eric.

Don is survived by his wife Darlene; daughters, Sue and Linda; son Steve; son-in-law Ron; daughter-in-law Marianne; grandchildren Janessa, Brian, Kori, Jessica, Shelby and Sarah and great-granddaughter Taylor.

Don was born March 26, 1934 in Illinois and moved to California in 1946. He graduated from Santa Cruz High School and served in the U.S. Navy and Reserves for eight years. After returning from the Navy he was a manager at Shopper Corner until entering the fire service with the City of Santa Cruz. His career with the fire service spanned over 22 years, where he retired as a chief officer.

Upon his retirement he moved with his family to Gardnerville where he continued to work in the construction field while enjoying outdoor activities the area had to offer.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 at United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
