Tuesday weather outlook; chance of precipitation tonight

Today's weather will be mostly cloudy with highs 56-66 and southwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, windy with scattered showers; snow level 6500 feet lowering to 5000 feet. Lows 31-41 with southwest winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Wednesday will be windy and mostly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 48-58 with southwest winds 15-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:43 a.m. reports all routes open Northern Nevada with no controls.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Edmonds, and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
