Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• Kenneth Putansu, 27, a machinist from Carson City, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Woodside Drive on suspicion of felony destruction of property. Bail was set at $5,000.


• A 25-year-old secretary from Carson City was arrested at 3:02 p.m. Sunday at Flint Drive and Highway 50 East on a warrant for second-offense drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,000.


• A 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Ruth Street on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.


• A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday at 1:24 a.m. in the 1400 block of Edmonds Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:


• Report of an ex-boyfriend breaking the window to his ex-girlfriend's motel room on North Carson Street at 12:31 p.m.


• Report of a vehicle running over a child's foot at Edmonds Sports Complex at 1:06 p.m. The parents took the child to the hospital.


• Vehicle burglary report on Woodside at Desatoya drives at 7:47 p.m.


• Report at 8:09 p.m. of a gun stolen from the 2600 block of Bel Aire Way.


Calls to which deputies responded Saturday:


• Report at 8:25 a.m. of home and yard on Coronet Way vandalized.


• A motel manager reported at 12:08 p.m. being battered by a tenant who also threatened to barbecue the neighbor's dog in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue.


• Report of a big basset hound biting a child on Bel Aire Way at 12:30 p.m.


• A business owner reported at 12:40 p.m. that two people he'd asked to leave his store the previous day had returned, "broke things and left."


• A woman reported at 3:04 p.m. that someone conned her elderly neighbors out of $75 by claiming to be the woman's husband and telling the couple she needed the money because she'd been in an accident.


Calls to which deputies responded Friday:


• Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 8:50 a.m.


• Coroner call in the 200 block of Koontz Lane at 11:20 a.m.


• A business owner reported at 1 p.m. that a former employee stole money and parts.


• A woman reported at 5:27 p.m. locating her uncle's stolen vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The vehicle was stolen from Lyon County.


• Fight report at 7:55 p.m. in the 600 block of Curry Street. Five to six men were involved, one man suffered a facial injury. Three arrests were made.


• Report of a dark blue 2000 Volkswagen Jetta stolen at 10 p.m. from the 4800 block of Silver Sage.


• Report at 11:15 p.m. of a large party involving dozens of juveniles at a clubhouse on Condor Circle. Ten juvenile misdemeanor arrests were made and one felony.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:


• Report of a home on Traci Lane in Mound House broken into sometime before 4:59 a.m.


• Report of a 2003 red Jeep Wrangler containing tools and a gun stolen from West Fir Avenue in Silver Springs at 11:36 a.m.


• A Fernley woman reported at 6:19 p.m. as she drove through a roundabout on Farm District Road, someone threw something that broke her window.
