Wind advisory for Washoe Valley; road work continues

Today's weather will be partly cloudy with this 51-61 and northwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, clear and cool with lows 25-35 and northwest winds 10-15 mph shifting to the north after midnight.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Edmonds, and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:06 a.m. reports all routes open in Northern Nevada with no controls with the exception of Highway 395:

A high wind warning is in effect for Washoe Valley; campers and trailers are not advised for 6 miles between Eastlake Boulevard and Winters Ranch.
