Carson City


The following people were arrested and booked into Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty:


• A 51-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Friday in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of battery. Bail was set at $1,132.


• A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Woodside Drive on suspicion of failure to appear in court. Bail was set at $500.


• Matthew McPherson, a 39-year-old Carson City electrician was arrested at 8:43 p.m. Friday at Long and Fall streets on suspicion of having an outstanding warrant for felony stalking out of Lyon County. No bail was set.


• A 48-year-old Orangevale, Calif., woman was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of two counts of battery, and one count of disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $2,500.


• James Jackson, an 18-year-old Silver Springs resident was arrested at 1 a.m. Saturday at East Long Street and Humboldt Lane on suspicion of of having two outstanding warrants, one for grand larceny, a felony and one for domestic battery. Bail was set at $23,000.


• A 39-year-old Carson painter was arrested at 4:13 a.m. Saturday at Sherman Lane and Fremont Street on suspicion of being an ex-felon who failed to notify his parole officer a change of address, not displaying license plates on his car and driving without head and tail lights. Bail was set at $500.




Lyon County


Sheriff's deputies answered the following calls Friday:


• A man reported spotting four juveniles damaging his fence at 4:53 p.m. on Driftwood and Dayton Valley roads.


• A girl reported her stepdad was hitting her mom at 6:38 p.m. in the 8300 block of Iroquois Terrace.


• A woman with blond hair would not leave a residence in the 200 block of Logan Lane at 9:16 p.m.
